Win Lose Situations

Having an argument is pretty common in a relationship and most of the time, couples argue about attention, but I don't wanna talk about the different types of arguement there are. I just wanna show the funny side of it, like who's winning and who's not.

I have a dialogue below, taken from the movie 'The Break-up'. The words in between the brackets are my comments.

Brooke: I just don't know how we got here. Our entire relationship, I have gone above and beyond for you, for us. I've cooked, I've picked your shit up off the floor, I've laid your clothes out for you like you're a four year old. I support you, I supported your work. If we ever had dinner or anything I did the plans, I take care of everything. And I just don't feel like you appreciate any of it. I don't feel you appreciate me. All I want is to know, is for you to show me that you care. (Girl's winning. She said accurate facts. She'll win completely if the boy doesn't know what to say next.)

Gary: Why didn't you just say that to me? (Boy's winning. He said something short yet stinging as it put her into her senses.)

Brooke: I tried. I've tried. (Girl's winning. She made him realise like his fault because she have done everything.)

Gary: Never like that, you might have said some things that meant to imply that, but I'm not a mind reader... (Boy's winning. Again, he said something short yet stinging as it put her into her senses.)

Brooke: It wouldn't matter you are who you are. Just leave me alone ok? Right now, just shut my door. (Girl's forcing a win by ending the arguement quickly, just like that.)

Gary: Listen... (Boy tries to counter.)

Brooke: Alright Gary just please, just leave the room. Gary just... I don't want to be near you right now, please just shut the door, please. (Girl wins.)

There you go. The girl wins. Oh and did I tell you? Continuing an arguement on another day is also common in relationships. (:
